Gandhi Vidya Mandir, a philanthropic organization, an educational oasis located in the Thar desert of Rajasthan. Founded by Late Shri Kanhaiyalal Dugar also known as Swami Shri Ram Sharnji Maharaji, GVM focuses on imparting comprehensive education and promoting Gandhian values of non-violence and universal brotherhood. The institution serves over 10,000 students, offering programs from pre-primary to Ph.D. levels, and is recognized for its dedication to uplifting underprivileged communities through various educational and vocational initiatives. GVM has very generously allocated 70 acres of land and buildings for the development of Prannath Hospital Sardarshahar
COVID-19 and the Need for a Multispecialty Hospital
The dream of a modern hospital in Sardarshahar gained urgency during the 2020 pandemic when Gandhi Vidya Mandir's Ayurvedic Hospital quarantined & treated over 16,000 individuals. Recognizing the need for advanced facilities, they initiated the Seva Bhavi Hospital project. Land and buildings were provided by GVM for a 250-bed multi-specialty hospital offering Allopathic, Ayurvedic, and Naturopathic treatments. Funded by donations, the fully air-conditioned hospital is set to open early next year.
